Aestheticians in Des Moines

Erin Ducharme, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist serving Iowans in Greater Des Moines and surrounding areas from her Clive clinic. Prior to opening her clinic in 2018, Dr. Ducharme served as Chief Dermatologist at the VA in Des Moines where she was honored to serve our nation’s veterans. Before her time at the VA, she set up and ran the Dermatology practice at the Iowa Clinic in West Des Moines.

She completed her medical school training at Columbia University in New York. After medical school, she did her Internship at New York University and then her Dermatology Residency at Texas A&M in Temple, TX. During her residency, she received extensive surgical training under the watch of one of the founders of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. She is currently Vice President and President-Elect of the Iowa Dermatological Society. Since 2019, she has served as a board member on the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

Originally from southern Iowa, Dr. Ducharme is happy to be back in Iowa to practice medicine. Her professional interests include surgical dermatology and teaching residents and medical students. She lives in Clive with her husband and five children.

Amy Eschweiler is an experienced physician assistant with over 20 years of dermatologic experience. She is a native of Northeast Iowa and earned her advanced degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University.

Jennifer is an experienced aesthetician with a career spanning 20 years. She graduated from La James in 2004, and since then, has been dedicated to helping people look and feel their best.

Jennifer has had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, from busy professionals to stay-at-home parents, and everyone in between. She takes pride in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in the industry, ensuring that her clients receive the best possible care.

When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and her pets.

Amanda Satre, L.E. brings a wealth of passion for aesthetics, which started back in 2004 when she worked at a cosmetic counter while attending Simpson College, in Indianola, for her Bachelors in Business Management. After a successful career in the banking, retirement, and mortgage industry, her heart lead her back to aesthetics in 2023. She attended The Aveda Institute in West Des Moines, and opened her own studio following graduation. Amanda joined the Brightside team in 2024 and her favorite services are Salt Facial and Hydrafacial! She loves meeting new patients and walking alongside them on their skin journey.

Outside of the clinic, she uses her passion for entrepreneurship with her studio and real estate projects.  Amanda grew up in West Des Moines and is married to her husband, Reece. They are cat lovers and have four cats, including two Maine Coons, Mowgli and Mufasa. Amanda enjoys spending her free time traveling to Arizona.

Olivia is a dedicated licensed esthetician who specializes in crafting personalized skincare treatments to help clients achieve their best complexion. Her approach blends professional expertise with a genuine passion for beauty and wellness. Outside of her work, Olivia cherishes time with her fiancé and dogs, enjoys any live music, tenders to her growing collection of plants, and finds joy in reading a good book. Her well-rounded interests and caring nature maker her a standout in her field.

Sydney is a Licensed Aesthetician who is dedicated to providing result-driven treatments. She strives to make a positive impact on her patient’s skin health and overall well-being, helping them feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Sydney is a graduate of Iowa State University and PCI Academy. She spent the beginning of her career in the Iowa City area but has recently moved to Waukee to join our team at Brightside Aesthetics! She comes with a wealth of skincare knowledge and experience in a variety of skin and body treatments.

On her free time, Sydney finds joy in going on walks, exploring new restaurants, and traveling with her loved ones.

Kylea Ryther, FNP-C, DNP is a family nurse practitioner who earned her doctorate of nursing in 2013 from the University of Iowa.  After working in Zearing, IA as a family nurse practitioner, she joined Iowa Clinic Cardiology in 2014 and specialized I cardio-oncology.  Everything about the aesthetic realm has interested her and she is very excited to help you achieve your aesthetic goals!
