The Brightside Process

Consultation

We begin your journey by getting to know your unique skin concerns, goals, and history. During your consultation, we discuss your expectations for treatment, answer your questions, and build a treatment plan specifically for your needs.

Treatment

During your treatment session, we apply a specially formulated chemical solution to your skin. As it works to remove your skin’s outermost layers, you may feel a tingling sensation. However, our team will make sure you are comfortable throughout the process.

Results

Chemical peels provide gradual, yet long-lasting results. Your skin will need to shed its old layer, so you may notice redness and peeling after treatment—visible improvements typically become apparent a few weeks afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Chemical Peels Work

Chemical peels work by creating controlled damage within the outer layers of your skin. They stimulate your body’s natural healing process and cause the outer layers to peel away. This process gets rid of old, damaged skin and allows fresh cells to take their place.

The Difference of a Chemical Peel

When you get a chemical peel in Des Moines, you are investing in your skin’s health and overall look. The treatment is versatile and can reduce the signs of aging, reduce the appearance of scars, improve your skin’s texture, address hyperpigmentation, and even skin tone, and treat acne or other blemishes.

Finding the Right Peel

We have 2 different chemical peels that you can choose from, each with its own specific purpose. This includes the Medium Depth Peel and the Jessner Peel. Both are advanced solutions for skin rejuvenation, but they vary in their intensity and recovery time.

Medium Depth Peel: 7 to 10-day recovery, reaches deep within your skin’s layers to address fine lines, sun damage, and pigmentation.

Jessner Peel: 5 to 7-day recovery, less intense, and improves skin clarity and texture.

If you’re unsure what option you should choose, don’t sweat it! We can discuss which peel will work best for you during your consultation.

At Brightside Aesthetics, we’re committed to helping you achieve your skin goals easily and effectively. By using treatments like a chemical peel in Des Moines, we can help transform your look and give you the confidence and skin you deserve.
